Jump (Toon Action)

Jump is an action performable by Toons. It can be used to dodge boss Cog moves or to get past obstacles. To jump, press the Ctrl key. It was added into Toontown on the September 2, 2002.

Notable areas

Notable areas necessary to jump to complete a course or obstacle include:

• Sellbot Factory
• Cashbot Mint
• District Attorney's Office

Objects and obstacles

Some objects and obstacles will require the need to jump. Some obstacles may harm Toons. These include:

• Goons to temporarily disable them.
• Crates to advance to another area of a Cog facility.
• Stompers and upward-moving platforms to reach higher ground.
• Over dangerous surfaces, such as lava or the paint mixer in Sellbot Factory, by jumping on top of moving platforms.

Trivia

• When using the happy emotion or the Resistance Salute, the Toon will perform a small jump.
• When jumping was first added, you could not jump over objects; pressing the jump key essentially just made your Toon use the happy emote. Jumping physics were not implemented until December 19, 2003. [Citation Needed »]
