January 4, 2013: A Stylish Start to the New Toon Year

Ring in your New Toon Year in silly style with the samba hat, miner hat, cop hat, feather hat, fuzzy winter hat, or pink boingy hearts. Girl Toons can build up their bow collection with the sweet little blue-checker bow!

Awe-inspiring airplane wings look perfect with motorcycle boots. Or make your Toon friends green with envy in your green hi top sneakers or green star fashion boots – both look dapper with the dreadful dragon wings!

ValenToon’s Day is not far off, so stock up on lovely pink star fashion boots, winter boots, tennis shoes, and hi top sneakers. If red’s more your color, check out the red hi tops, sneakers, and fancy shoes.

Clarabelle also brings back another Toon favorite: Alien Eye glasses. Scare those Cogs silly with eyes that are out-of-this-world wacky!

January 8, 2013: Help A Toon Week

A New Toon Year always brings new Toons to town, so the Toon Council proudly proclaims "Help A Toon Week" this January 8 to January 16!

This special week is dedicated to helping our new, lower Laff Toons everywhere. Whether it’s helping to complete a tricky ToonTask, or mentoring less-experienced Toons with Rental Suits in Sellbot VP battles, it’s always Toontastic to lend a hand!

Our famous salute “Toons of the World Unite!” means newer and experienced Toons always stand ready to come together... to have fun, and bust some cranky Cogs too. After all, the new Toon you help today might just save YOU with a well-timed Toon-Up some day!

January 11, 2013: Blast Into the New Toon Year

The ToonCouncil gets ALL Toons blasting right into the New Toon Year with a high-flying code for 48 hours of cannon rentals at your Estate! You can get the code in today's new issue of Toon News... For the Amused! To read the Toon News, just jump into Toontown and click the typewriter tab in your Schticker Book. Once you have the code, go to the Options & Codes page in your Shticker Book and enter the code there. Wait a few minutes, then check your Toon's mailbox - you’ll receive 48 hours of cannon rentals to enjoy at your Estate! Today's Toon News... For the Amused! also announces that prizes have been sent to winners of the Top Toons New Year's Marathon! Check your Toon mailboxes this weekend to see if YOU won...

January 18, 2013: Street M.A.P.S. set Toons on their Wacky Way!

This past year sure has been a Toontastic one with wacky Toon Parties, kooky codes, crazy contests, chuckling challenges, oodles of wacky holidays, and endless Cog shenanigans (why oh why are they always trying to spoil our Toon fun?) But this is Toontown, which means that the fun's not done – not by a long shot! The Toon Council has a TON of Toon-errific fun planned for you this coming Toon Year, and the first is all-new Street M.A.P.S. (aka “Marvelously Animated Pathfinding System”)! To open and close the M.A.P.S. of the Street you’re on, just press the “Alt” key on your keyboard. The blue arrow tracks your Toon on the Map. The numbers in red target any ToonTasks you need to finish on that Street, showing you exactly where you need to go. You can also open M.A.P.S. by clicking the little Map just above your Shticker Book – just remember to be in a Street! Need to track down a certain type of Cog? M.A.P.S. also show you the percentage of each Cog type lurking on your Street. You’ll be finding and busting those Cogs to pieces in no time thanks to the new Street M.A.P.S.! Take extra precautions by getting the anti-Cog hat... we don't know if it actually does anything, but we do know Cog activity jumps way up during March and April. Better silly than sad!

March 8, 2013: Toons Look Grand in Green

Top o’ the mornin’ to you! If you’re wondering why I’m talking like this, well it must be all the enchanting emerald items popping up in Clarabelle’s Cattlelog this week! Choose from gaggles of grand green clothing, and goofy green hats, glasses, and boots. Wear your green and let every Toon know that you’re one lucky dog! Or cat. Or mouse. Or duck… you get the idea. Now get green!

March 11, 2013: Keep Your Toon Account Safe

While dodging Cogs, remember to always play safe with your personal account information inside Toontown too. Never share your Toontown account information, passwords, or personal information with anyone in game, no matter what special abilities or cheats someone promises you in exchange. We take hacks and those who use them to break the rules in Toontown very seriously - including manipulating Toontown's program in order to change the way Toontown behaves. If someone promises to show you how to do this in exchange for your account information, password, or personal information, you will likely lose your Toon and your account. It's not safe, and it's just not worth it. Accounts terminated for sharing personal or account information for any reason will not be reinstated. Play safe, and don't fall for any Cog-like tricks:

• Never give out any account info - always keep your password and Account ID secret • Never give out your personal information - including your name, address, email, or any contact information

Feel free to Contact Us if you would like to report someone asking for your account information, password, or personal information. If you are unsure of a situation, just grab a parent for help. The ToonCouncil reminds all Toons to follow Disney's Online Code of Conduct here, and help keep Toontown a fun and safe place to play!

March 13, 2013: Beware the Ides of March... and Backstabbers Too!

"Beware the ides of March..." means "Toons, look sharp – pointy-headed Backstabbers make their move soon!" Every March, Lawbots make a point of unleashing waves of Backstabber Cogs on the streets of Toontown! The Toon Resistance advises all Toons to watch their backs on Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15 at these times:

2am - 5am PST 12pm - 3pm PST 6pm - 9pm PST

Luckily the Toon Resistance has cleared these Districts as safe zones from the invading Backstabbers:

Crazy Grove Gigglyfield Giggly Hills Goofy Valley Silly Valley Zany Acres

Toons who wish to avoid a stabbing headache and steer clear of the invasions should go to the above Districts. Toons of the World, Unite – defend Toontown from those finger-wagging Backstabbers!

March 14, 2013: Toons Go Goofy for Green

Every time those Backstabbers invade Toontown, Green Bean Jeans turns into a stomping ground for those puncturing pests. Instead of cleaning up another mess this year, shopkeeper Eugene decided to turn the tables on those Cogs, and let loose his supply of green dye for Toons! Just visit Eugene inside Green Bean Jeans on Oak Street in Daisy Gardens, and say your ‘Green’ SpeedChat phrase:

"It's easy to be green!"

Then POOF – you turn yourself a grand shade of green! The goopy green dye lasts only for a day – and if you want to do it again, you can go back to visit Eugene as often as you like. Don't forget to add on the great green clothes and accessories available right now in Clarabelle's Cattlelog, and show those Backstabbers why they should never turn their back on a green Toon!

March 19, 2013: Go Green Before It's Gone!

Thanks to your Toontastic defense of Toontown against those invading Cogs, the Backstabber's comeback has run out! Time is also running out to go a grand, green color o' Toon! So you should get running too, over to Oak Street in Daisy Gardens. There you can visit Eugene at his shop, Green Bean Jeans. When you say your "Green" SpeedChat phrase to Eugene - POOF - you go green! You have only through March 20 to make yourself green, so go meet Eugene before all his goopy green dye dries up. And if your green has worn off, you can go back for more. "It's easy to be green!"

March 22, 2013: Silly Meter... Assemble!

In a top secret Loony Lab, those wacky Toon Scientists are working overtime fixing up the Silly Meter. (At least we think they're working.) The ToonCouncil rightly requested that the kooky contraption be reassembled to rapidly rejuvenate Toontown's silliness right away. The plan is to have the Silly Meter up and running in Toon Hall this very weekend! Come by Toon Hall to see for yourself, and stay Tooned for super silliness...

The Silly Meter's Countdown to Crazy

The Silly Meter keeps chugging higher and higher, thanks to every pie that goes splat, every Party thrown, even every single jellybean earned. Every kooky, silly, wacky activity Toons enjoy boosts that crazy contraption closer to the top – so keep it up!

Toon Scientists Professor Prepostera, Doctor Dimm, and Doctor Surlee are closely monitoring the Silly Meter's every move and whistle.

Tons of Toons are keeping a close eye on the Silly Meter's progress inside Toon Hall too. Come by, take a screenshot with your Toon friends in front of this loony landmark – and get ready to get ridiculous!

Silly Meter Zips to a Zany Zenith!

The level of looniness in Toontown just maxed out the Silly Meter! That kooky, chugging contraption has hit the top, and kicked in April Toons' Week! It's not even April yet – but what else would you expect during the wackiest week on the Toon calendar??

Starting today through April 11, Toontown is even nuttier than normal with chit-chatty Doodles, and low-gravity, high-bouncing Toon Estates! Even Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto pull some prank-filled practical jokes all their own!

Get set for super silliness, and you never know, the Silly Meter may still have a silly surprise in store...

Celebrate all the silliness of the most hilarious holiday for hijinks on the Toon calendar - April Toons' Week!

Toons Now Run Faster!

As April Toons speeds to a close today, the Silly Meter drops one more silly surprise with help from those inventive Toon Scientists.

While studying the Silly Meter's wild warping of weight during April Toons' Week, Toon Scientists tinkered with the goofy gravity in Toontown ever so slightly. The result? From now on, all Toons run with a bit more zip!

Toons may need that extra speed soon, to dodge and evade grabby Cogs. The Toon Resistance calculates that Cogs seem to be growing in numbers. Dash into Toontown now to speedily stock up on as many gags as you can this weekend...

Every year, those calculating Number Crunchers get extra hungry on April 15th. We're not sure why, but we are sure that their multiplying numbers always add up to a lot of trouble!

Whether darting around Cogs in Daisy Gardens, or dashing all the way to Donald’s Dreamland to finish a ToonTask, Toons are zooming through Toontown!

The Silly Meter’s last super surge of silliness that turned Toon feet faster also burned out that kooky contraption’s Slaphappy Safety Valve. But not to worry – the Toon Scientists already have the Silly Meter back in Loony Labs and under repair.

Melville Fishes for a Winner

It's time for our Toontastic spring events - and that ol' sea horse Captain Melville starts it off with a splash! fast Toons Melville challenges all Toons to enter his annual Fishing Tournament this weekend: Friday, April 26 - Monday, April 29.

Catch the most fish in a 24-hour period any day of the Tournament using one of the following fishing rods: twig, bamboo, wood, steel or gold. Any pond will do – including the one at your very own Estate.

Melville thanks all Toons who cast a line during the past four fin-tastic days of fishing! After Melville tallies up all the fish reeled in, and throws out the old boots (especially the ones he caught), we’ll announce the winners.

Tee-Off for MiniGolf May-nia This Weekend

ATTENTION, TOONS: Due to Friday's log in issues, the Acorn Acres Invitational has been extended an extra day. The minigolf challenge now runs through Tuesday, May 14!

Members are invited to play Chip ‘n Dale’s MiniGolf to try and sink the most “holes-in-one” on the course of their choice during one of those four days.

The 40 Toons with the MOST “holes-in-one” on each course - each day - during the minigolf tournament win a Toontastic new golfing outfit! See you in Acorn Acres this weekend, and good golfing out on the greens, Toons!

Thank you to all Toons who took a swing in this past week’s Acorn Acres Invitational!

For five frantic days of madcap minigolf, Toons sank scores of hole-in-one shots on the fairway. Those scores are still being counted up, and winners will be announced soon!

Minigolf winners with the most “holes-in-one” will be posted soon in an upcoming issue of Toon News… For the Amused! The all-new golfing outfit prize will be awarded at that same time. Stay Tooned!

Grand Prix Weekend is a GO!

Spring event May-nia races to the finish line with the silly spills and thrills of Toontown's Grand Prix Weekend!

Grand Prix Weekend starts this Saturday, May 25 and runs through Tuesday, May 28. ALL Toons – Members and Free – may compete in the Grand Prix event!

Racing ticketsTo enter this weekend, you’ll first need tickets to get into the Grand Prix. Zip over to Goofy's Speedway and start getting in your practice laps for tickets today! Then head to any Toon Battle race starting block to enter one of the circuits from Saturday through Tuesday.

There are four Grand Prix circuits to race -- two regular and two reverse -- to qualify in the event.

The top 25 fastest Toons with legitimate qualifying times in each circuit - each day - win an all-new Grand Prix racing outfit for their Toon! You can see this exclusive racing outfit in Friday's issue of Toon News... For the Amused!

Thanks to all turbo-charged Toons put the pedal to the metal competing in the Grand Prix Weekend. Four days of rip-roaring racing at Goofy Speedway zoomed right by!

All races and finish times are currently under review to find our winners – the speediest Grand Prix Toons!

The top twenty-five fastest Toons with legitimate qualifying times in each of the four circuits, each day of the Grand Prix event, will be announced soon in an upcoming issue of Toon News… For the Amused! We're glad to say not many Toons were sold on the Sellbots' sending Glad Handers to schmooze a Toon truce yesterday... Gaggles of Glad Handers are now marching into Toontown, trying to take control hand over fist!

We're going to need all Toons to lend a hand in busting up this latest Cog invasion plot! Those double-dealing Glad Handers took us by surprise, so we're not sure where or when they will try to get the upper-hand. The Toon Resistance advises all Toons to stock up on strongly silly gags!

Summer Fireworks Signal Toon Victory!

As you may have noticed by the sound of BOOM in the Toontown sky, Toons successfully defeated the recent Cog super-scheme!

Celebrate our Toon victory under colorful fireworks displays in Playgrounds, every hour on the hour! The victory fireworks begin today and keep right on bursting all the way through July 16. To get the best view of the show, hit PAGE UP to look skyward.

After Cog-busting contests and mega-invasions this summer, the Toon Resistance has learned lots of valuable info thanks to you Toons battling back those belligerent 'bots. Their new toon-ups to Cog battles make it easier and faster to get your rewards for crashing those cranky Cogs!

You’ve probably already noticed how quickly the Reward Screens display now, after those Cogs go SPLAT!! And if you’re defeating Cogs alongside other Toons, you can now skip over the other Toons’ Reward Screens to get right to your own rewards - or to get on with busting the next Cog!

Just click the new SKIP button on a Reward Screen to jump to the next one. Or you can also use the “Esc” key on your keyboard.
