Promotion

A Promotion is the goal sought after by Toons in order to fight a boss battle in a Cog HQ. Once a Toon has received all the parts of a Cog suit, a promotion can be obtained by collecting items from defeating Cogs of a certain type. Sellbots give Merits, Cashbots give Cogbucks, Lawbots give Jury Notices, and Bossbots give Stock Options.

The number of items required changes with each new level on a Cog suit. The best way to obtain these items is to fight Cogs in the respective Cog facility. Progress can be checked in a Toon's Shticker Book. When the required amount is met, a Toon is ready to meet a boss to fight. The Toon's Cog suit level will increase if they win, and their promotion progress will be reset.

When the suit level reaches level 50 on the highest ranking Cog of that type, a Toon has finished (maxed) the Cog HQ. They will have all of their laff point rewards by then, and they will no longer need to earn promotions in order to fight the boss.
