Yep, this Wiki only has a few contributors. And we're facing Spammers almost everyday. I would help add pictures and information, but sadly, my computer doesn't have a Hard Drive to update Toontown. I have 2 Computers, but one of them can't cooperate with Toontown. All I get is an error. -_-

Trading Card Help?

Hey! I see you want to help with the trading cards! Ok! I'll help to if that's ok! :D

We have every Cards for: Cogs, Gags, and Fish. All we need are the Toonographies (ie: Flippy, Franz Neckvein). If you happen to find one of those, please add it! :D

I'll work on the Cogs Trading Cards. 32 from the Corporate Ladder, 2 from Bosses, 1 from Skelecogs - Total 35 Cards

The Gags are like 42, with Fish being 18. That's a total of 60 Cards. :O If you think that's too much, I'll help out! :) Just ask me if you need help with it. :D

Hey Theevina! Darn you passed me on the Leaderboard! :)

Well, that's not my point. My point is you should create a blog post of your Project:De-Stub (I was looking around the Activity, well... it's my job as admin). I'll add that to the Projects Section on the Main Page. That way, if people do read it, they know what's going on around the Wiki.

I won't add it until you create the blog post. It's only because I need the link for it. I really don't want to go back and fix the link, only because I hate making several edits on the same page.

It's fine

I think it's fine with me. It can be possible to make a new category; for instance: Category:Toontown Central/Images. I think it works better to add /Images(or Media) so that the category will be a secondary page (somewhat like what you did with your userpage).

This way the category won't cram too much and load slower. This is just my idea; whatever you wish, I'll just see how it turns out. :P

Actually, what I thought it to be is how it works with just adding categories and the page automatically is on the category without you adding the page yourself. This way, the category can have the (NEXT 200) button or somewhat something like that.

Yes, my idea works. By creating Category:(said-name)/Images, all you have to do is go to one of the images and click Add Category below the page, and type in (said-name)/Images. Simple as that and doesn't need to have a page.

Well, no it doesn't add it to the parent category. Just the subcategory. If you add the parent category to the subcat, the subcat will appear in the parentcat. Since the name is Category:Test/Images, Test/Images is a subcat.

I just don't like doing how other wikis do things. It makes us feel like a copycat or mimicry. It's better to be unique than just a copy. :P

It doesn't matter anyways, as long as there's a page/category for the media, then it's okay. Parent Categories with images work too without having subs.

Yes, I noticed that too. I think we really need to change it from one or the other. It's really messy. Also, to link a category, use this: [[:Category:Stubs(or any name)]] (note the first colon before C). It will be Category:Stubs or a different name [[:Category:Stubs|Different Name]] Different Name.

Re:Dead Images

Some of the images can be placed into their designated page. Others can be deleted. You can delete anything that's not being used and keep the ones that you feel is okay to put into a gallery on articles.

Definitely! Vandals need to think before they vandalise. Why? Because it gives us more edits just from undoing their "so-called edits." Trolling (spamming to get people angry) does not seem to work in my head (meaning I don't find Trolling a tough issue). I like spammers/vandals as that's how I got a quarter of my edits. :)

First of all (to vandals), even when I haven't edited in 20 minutes, I'm still here! :P Don't think I'm not here; I'm just doing other things at the moment. :)

Funny vandals. :) They're annoyingly funny. :D

Sliders

I hate how Wikia can only use Main Page Sliders on images that are exactly 673x410px. No other images can use the main page slider if they are not formatted to that size.

I'm not really sure why I'm uploading two when I can just upload the ToontownSlider version. :/ I guess some parts of my mind aren't thinking properly. :P

I also prefer .png files; I think it has better quality.

They weren't really demoted, just categorized as inactive. Plus, I don't like the ** next to the names. It looks odd. And nobody won't be able to talk to the admin if they aren't even active.

Well, I guess I'm used to putting images in .png type. It's usually the first thing I do before I even go to a folder to save it in. And I just copy the image to Paint rather than using the save option. It's a habit. :P

The videos of Youtube Users "acting" as an NPC should be removed. There's really no need to have them. Plus, those videos don't even talk about the actual NPC, but rather a guide to how-to-play Toontown, etcetera.

Partnership

Hi,

I was wondering if you would be interested in a partnership with my new website, Toon Town Clans. I wrote about the site at User_blog:Reggielemonknees/New_Clan_Social_Website. The site is brand new and I want to attract users to it and allow it to grow, but I need a source of traffic. Top Toon Take Over

I just recently had a virus on my computer. Until then, can I ask you or GamerPerson to take over the Top Toons when I'm gone? It's simple:

Change their name color. (replace FlappyWildbumper's name color with the winner's color)
Add blog color (replace FlappyWildbumper with the winner)
Add a description about the winner by editing Template:TopToon, or at least that's what it was.

I just can't seem to edit quite a lot as my old computer has low disk space (this is my Toontown computer; the virused one is my parents ^.^). I already tried removing the virus.

I'll try to be online while I still can.

I think that does it: Template:Street. Anyways, for levels(such as mincog, maxcog, bldgcog, etc.), only add the numbers. For building floors, numbers too. Cog Type Rarity, numbers too (% already in). No linking required. :)

Adopting

It's come to the point that the wiki is becoming available for adoption. The wiki becomes available on August 24th, since Flippers last logged in on June 25. Anyways, I'm not qualified to use those bureaucrat rights, so I am asking you or GamerPerson to make your choices to who becomes the bureaucrat. Anyways, if you're up to the task, create a blog post and have the community's decisions (otherwise, Wikia Staff will keep your adoption request On Hold, asking you to discuss things with the community, and the page is rarely looked into). After August 24th, or earlier, you or GamerPerson can ask to request an adoption for Toontown Wiki.

Although, we don't need to adopt the wiki, I'm keeping things aware for you guys. :)

Gallery Pages and Bot Run

I really think that the gallery pages should be (page name)/Gallery instead.

By the way, may I ask for a bot run, or two? I've been really thinking about the Level # Cogs categories. I denied it at first, but now, it's really just a useless category. Anyways, may I ask for the removal of all Category:Level # Cogs from articles?

R1-1 for first place, R1-2 for second place, (for a race that only has two players)
R2-1 - first, R2-2 - Second, R2-3 - Third
Etc.. Up to R3-4.
Note: Parameter State is for an autocollapsed or no autocollapsed table. You can choose collapsed or nocollapse.

Ask me if it is too confusing to understand, but it should be self-explanatory in Preview mode.

Playgrounds

May I ask for a favor? I need pictures of each playground. Pictures should be like how you took the Toon HQ images but the playground overall (well parts of it anyways). It's as if you are looking in a brochure, and tourists are looking at the exotic appearance of The Brrrgh. :P It's self-explanatory (with the example), but if you need a little bit more explanation, well, ask me. :P

I'm working on a new playground template. You can see a test run on my sandbox. I don't want to use the images you're going to upload, so I'll just put on the template on the articles, and you can add the image.

If you're annoyed by the fact that non-existing categories are now blue links instead of red, well you can add this code into your User:Theevina/wikia.css(I got this in the comments on Community's technical update):

Sadly, it can't be added to the wiki's Wikia.css, otherwise, it'll violate the Terms of Use. Don't forget to purge.

Let me see if I can try again. If you still don't understand, don't bother to reply. I want to put a picture of the squirting flower on my page. While editing my page, I click on "photo" which is under "Add features and media." To find the picture, I type in the "find" box "squirting flower gag." I click "find" only to get "no results found on this wiki". I've seen people use it, but I just can't find it! I would take the picture myself, but I'm not a member, so I don't have the gags I want. I don't like the tracks at all, since users will just start adding the category/template just to earn the badges. I'm all for it when the category has a lot of articles in it, but not when it's for maintenance work (such as stubs, etc.). We would really need to discuss this. Gears

Deat Theevina,

I'm a big fan and i was wondering, how did you come up with gears?

I got the idea early in 2008 and began writing it in February that year. I felt that the game didn't do the original story justice. The story of Toons and cogs was really intriguing and I wanted to write something that filled in the gaps in that storyline. It is my belief that my book was the original tale of the chairman. Also, I wanted to make the story show more emotion than just plain old cog battles. I wanted to show that both the Toons and the cogs had flaws as well as admirable traits. Removed districts

Replying to your comment on the Removed Features page, Yes it is true. I am not sure about the reason all the other districts were removed, but I do know about Nutty River, Nutty summit, and Toon Valley. As you know, Toontown has a huge problem with hackers and Nutty river has a population problem. So evey now and then, the moderators have to reset those districts to keep them safe.

picture tutorial

I wanted to make a page that would help Wiki editors/users become smarter with taking pictures of things in ToonTown by using different points of view, using software and making the pictures high resolution.
A tutorial to some sort.
I wasn't going to make it until I asked an admin, and I was wondering if I could make it under the FAQ page or add to the image policy as a "How to take a good ToonTown pic" sort of heading. It would probably be under the ToonTown Wiki/bla since it would be big and detailed to avoid people complaining about me being vague. ._.
Thoughts? Bermuda and Flying have already said yes... since you're the main admin I needed your OK.

Hey there. Considering I had to delete a profane title, I'm wondering if we should create-protect profane/slang language from future article creations. We don't really have to protect all words, just commonly used ones and variations of the word, see Special:Logs/protect. A category for unimportant articles

Articles like Easter Eggs and Weather do not have categories, and I can't seem to decide which categories are perfect for those. I was thinking about creating a category for articles that aren't quite important or do not have a category that fits well in it (going with the first). Changing staff requirements

The "main" editcount is asking too much, that even I can't do. I only managed to get about 1,000 edits this month only because of the title case and due to its importance to change all the red links. Without the title case project, I would probably still be around 2,500 to 3,500 on my main, and I've been on the wiki for almost 2 years.

The only reason I would like for that requirement to lower is because we're low on staff. Flying hasn't been on since April, and I'm quite busy on weekdays. I don't know about you, but it would also seem you have plans as well. Since, we're not a big wiki yet, the requirements don't have to be greatly lowered (such as 2,000 to 1,000) because we're not quite a vandalism target. Although, for rollback requirements, the editcount requirement should at least be possible for those who we can rely on, such as TheSora (and, yes TheSora, if you're reading this, I see potential in you... sheesh, eavesdropper!). However, IMO, we can just ditch that requirement and promote those who can help us greatly, while still meeting the other requirements.

Policy regarding anonymous Contributers

Also, don't go into Toontown and take pictures of random pigs, we want high quality images from different sources, and we only want one or two player pictures. Gallery improvements

I noticed on the Cog building, Field office, and Cashbot Mint (and possibly others) galleries there are badly cropped/not cropped at all pictures. I was wondering if you'd like me to remove the bad ones and replace them with better ones?

(I'm sorry, but messy images annoy the heck out of me.)

Halloween theme

Receiving a notice from Wikia, I see they are holding a contest for a Halloween-themed wiki, which the winning wiki will receive cover story promotion and one-month in the spotlights. I'm sure you received the message as well. I was wondering if you're up to this. If you are, then we can ask Toontask for some ideas for the design. I'll probably compile a list of pages, etc. on one of my sandboxes, and if so, feel free to add into it. Same here, though maybe one will have some ideas to give to us. I already have some suggestions in mind, such as:

An orange version of the header and footer (Test Toontown Wiki already has an orange background, we could adjust it to fit the header)
The same black background we used last time
Adjusted Main Page templates to fit theme (simply just editing Template:Header)
The siderail dotted borders to either black or orange
Theme designer stuff
Etc.

Not sure about the logo. We could use the last one, or we can come up with an entirely new one. By entirely, I mean maybe just add pictures to it like a pumpkin on the side or bats, ghosts, etc.

Toolbar & Other Things

Hi! I'm Dent from the POTCO Wiki. I noticed your toolbar isn't displaying your custom image.

Here's how to fix it.

Change your current text .WikiaFooter .toolbar { to .WikiaBarWrapper {

Also, I take it that you have noticed a significant decline in Toontown's livelihood. You've had that mega-patch stuck on the PTS for awhile, and no new updates are coming in, save for some rare bug fixes.

POTCO is experiencing the same issue, and we have started a movement to change it. We started a professional petition that peacefully petitions DIMG to improve the game. We not only point out the improvements POTCO could have, but also point out how lucrative those changes could be.

We have gotten very positive feedback from disney employees, although no official word from Disney themselves.

If the petition does work, you should expect overall improvement in Toontown as well.

Not trying to get you to support the petition or anything, just pointing out that it could benefit Toontown as well. : )

What should we do?

A user recently made edits to all (or a good majority) of the gag pages, adding what level cogs that gag can destroy in one hit. Click here for example.

I'm not sure if I should revert the edits, or leave it alone......

Pictures

Furthermore, any images with watermarks (for example: File:BossBot HQ elevator.jpg, the "S" at the bottom-right corner) should not be used. However, I'm not very familiar with being an Admin. But I'm sure I'll learn as I go, yes?

Also, I do have a "possible medical condition", and if it gets worse (I'm praying that it doesn't) I may have to go suddenly inactive for a few weeks - even months - depending on how bad.

Templates

Hey, Evina

I wanted to know how you put those templates on your userpage?

They are nice. I wanted to use some of them on my page. For example, I would like to use the "male" template, the "can't tell if this is a template or just a joke" template. (that was weird) So could you tell me exactly what code I type for a template? I would also like the "wizard 101" template. I LOVE that game. (That was random, I also need the random template.)

Manual of Style

I have rewritten the Manual of Style, see User:Bermuda/Sandbox 2. Please check if I'm missing anything, or there are unnecessary statements (I intended to remove the "Automatic Editing" section, since I couldn't reason with myself if it belongs here (we rarely have bots anyways); I also separated article categorizing and category pages into their own sections).

Also, most of the stuff in the Manual of Style was taken from Avatar Wiki (while restructuring most sentences in my own words). The most reasonable place to put a disclaimer was underneath the first paragraph of the page. I just don't want to be accuse of stealing. :P Bermuda • Talk • 22:51,1/3/2013

About the new account: Why will you need a new account? And how will we know it is you? I thought multiple accounts for 1 individual were not allowed. Now I understand you adopted this wiki (as several others have) but honestly it was a mess when I first started editing and taking control. I attribute much of its current success to Bermuda and myself. So many things have changed while you were gone. We have a lot more articles, rules, and standards of quiality to keep. We have parterned with a large fansite, ToonTask.com. I can't give special treatment to anyone. It seems you are already a bureaucrat on your account so I suppose you technically could do anything you want. But I won't approve of any promotion unless I have enough evidence that they will be active and understand that quality that we've tried to strive for. It's really nothing personal. Just a lil feedback.

I've recently requested to be a rollback, so I'd best start helping out.... like a real rollback....

I was wondering why were the badges were removed? They made me quite confindent and eager to edit.

I also noticed that other wiki's like the FusionFall wiki still has badges.

I don't know if wikia removes the badges or if the Toontown wiki does, but if the Toontown wiki does, I'd like to help restore the badges.
